Have an electric car? Here’s what a Nissan LEAF electric car owner had to say about their stay at SeatacPark.com

Quick note to say Thank You! I recently parked my Nissan LEAF electric car at your facility and shared an overview of my experience on Facebook in the Seattle Nissan LEAF owners group. Here’s the post, cheers!

Quick review of seatacpark.com – We had a weekend trip, so we decided to take the LEAF to the airport (36 miles each way). Per the article, I called in advanced to check the status and reserve a spot. Initially, the young lady answering the phone had no idea about the advertised electrical service, so I gave her the URL. She quickly read it and told me that she needed to check with her supervisor and call me back. Ten minutes later, she called and happily said that she has a spot available and would furnish an extension cord if needed.

I showed up at the scheduled time and told the lot attendant that I was there for one of the reserved electrical spots. Again, the person there had no idea what I was referring to, so he asked and luckily, the same young lady that I spoke to was there. She jumped right out of the booth, directed us to the spot (reserved with a cone) and had an extension cord in her hand!

Car turned off, luggage out, we plugged in to the cord which was plugged into a weather covered GFI 120v 15 amp outlet on the outside of the office building. Shuttle came around and picked us up and we were off to the airport. Within 10 minutes I received a carwings ‘stop charging’ SMS. :( Apparently the GFI was tripped. I called back and and asked if she could reset the GFI, which she was happy to do, then I again connected to carwings and re-started charging. The car successfully charged to 80% per my standard schedule and I received confirmation the next day.

On Sunday, prior to boarding my return flight, I connected and initiated climate control which worked perfectly. Quick uneventful flight, shuttle back to the car where I discovered someone had thoughtfully placed plastic over my EVSE to provide added protection from the rain! They had also place a safety cone around the LEAF :) And to top it all off, they charge the “internet rate” of $10.95/day, juice included!

I would definitely use this service again and am happy to know of businesses like this that are so focused on customer satisfaction!

Cheers,

Mark Spain

It seems everyone has punch cards these days. Coffee stands, burger joints, sub shops, admit it, most of us probably have at least one of these in our wallets. And who would blame you? When someone offers a quality product or service, you want to keep returning to that establishment because you enjoy it. And the punch card is a way to reward frequent visitors.

Airlines take it a step further and offer frequent flyer miles. The more you fly, the more free miles you accumulate for your next trip. Well, at SeatacPark we wanted to offer our own frequent parker rewards program. That’s why we created our PremierPark card!

Our PremierPark program works similar to many reward programs out there: The more you park, the more you are rewarded. The explanation is simple; for every day parked using your PremierPark card, you earn one point on your PremierPark card. Simply ask for your PremierPark card next time you stop by, and begin collecting those points. Once you get to 25 points, you receive 5 free day of parking. After 25 points, each additional day of free parking only requires 5 more points. For example:

If you are a frequent traveler, and parker, this card has your name written all over it. So, in between your punch card for a free haircut and tall vanilla latte, make sure you add our PremierPark card!

Have Some Fun While on our Shuttles!

Because most of the time you are on our shuttles your minds are probably filled with thoughts about your trip, and perhaps even some stress, we want to attempt to keep your mind off things and have a little fun!

Next time you are riding in one of our shuttles, make sure to mention on Twitter that you are on our shuttle (or check in on Facebook Places) and let us know who your driver is and where you are headed. Doing so will give you one entry to our upcoming summer contest. If you take a photo of yourself on the shuttle and Tweet it, you will receive 5 entries to the contest!! So show off those pearly whites, introduce yourself to our drivers, and let’s give away some prizes!

While the shuttle ride to the airport is quick, it doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun on it! Coming soon, riders of our SeatacPark.com shuttle will have a chance to Tweet their way to free parking. All they have to do is send a Tweet to @seatacpark while they are riding on the shuttle either to the airport, or back to their cars. If you simply send a Tweet, you will get one entry into the contest. If you submit a photo of yourself on the shuttle, you will get 5 entries into the contest. If you do send a picture-less Tweet, you will need to mention your driver’s name in the Tweet for verification. Who knows, if you Tweet on the shuttle on the way to the airport, you may just discover that your parking stay is free when you arrive back. So stay tuned for contest details and signs to start showing up in our shuttles. Have fun!

Need to wash your Buggy?

With Spring in the air, hopefully the sunshine will follow. This means you will need to give that buggy of yours a nice wash. Did you know we offer premier car wash service? And of course, we checked it out ourselves to make sure it was safe. Check out the video to see what we mean.SeaTacPark.com Premier Car Wash Service

What is “Touch Free”?

A “Touch Free” car wash system uses low pressure detergent application and high pressure nozzles. Other vehicle wash systems use brushes or other materials to clean your vehicle. With the “Touch Free” system nothing touches the vehicle except detergent solution and high-pressure water.

During the wash your vehicle will be:

  1. driven into the wash bay to receive an under carriage and wheel wash,
  2. placed in park once inside the wash bay,
  3. sprayed with high-pressure hot water that contains a presoak solution which will penetrate and remove dirt*,
  4. rinsed with spot-free water,
  5. dried, and
  6. returned to SeaTacPark.com.

*Since all of the above occurs without brushes or other material, your vehicle’s delicate clear coat finish is protected.
